I had the opportunity to stop at a spot not far from Atlantic City for about 30 minutes and was closer than i've ever been to a wide variety of wild birds that I don't get to see often... to be there with Zoe made it even more magical. I have to admit I may be sliding down the path to being a bird nerd of late as my daughter put it. Between my window feeders, the osprey i love, and the long necked birds like heron and egret that I am known to pull u-turns for. This shooting is so far away from the controlled portrait and lighting work that I generally cherish that it forces me out of my head for a bit. Being able to shoot in a space where the fauna is abundant and in a natural location incites a feeling that I have a hard time expressing.
Ibis, Egret, Night Heron, and more all well within reach of my A1 and 200-600
