It's been a bit both for Silent Drive to play NYC and for me to post. When their singer Zach let me know that the band was going to play Brooklyn i started praying to the work gods that I wouldn't be on the road and it worked out. For those unfamiliar if you've looked at my music work over the last 20 years you've seen Zach's "other band" Bane numerous times... I only got to see Silent Drive once a long while back and unfortunately (maybe - i was pretty bad for a long time) there are no pics from that show. But that never diminished my love for Love Is Worth It - their debut record. With the release of the follow up Fairhaven I was hoping they would play but also knew that everyone in the band had real jobs and lives and that the record was recorded as a cathartic experience over the loss of the much missed Brendan "Stu" Maguire so i didn't know.
They did play. I shot. They were great. I left happy but wishing more people my age would pile up and sing along. If that is my biggest gripe of the month I'm good.
1780 shots from my Sony A1 all lit with my Westcott FJ80II speedlight and played back to the song God Vs I from the equal vision release "Fairhaven"
