A Single Twig Breaks But the Bundle of Twigs is Strong - Community in Photography

A Single Twig Breaks,

But The Bundle of Twigs is Strong

Tecumseh

Yesterday in Annapolis, Maryland, I had the privilege of supporting another incredible creative event with The Peculiar Collective.  It's always more than just a meetup — it is a movement. A community of photographers and storytellers coming together not to compete, but to connect. I’ve learned over the years that holding on to knowledge doesn’t make you better — sharing it does. So I shared everything I could — lighting techniques, camera settings, creative insights — not to impress, but to empower. I watched and listened to others doing the same. It's inspiring. Because when we teach, we don’t lose our edge. We sharpen the whole blade.  That Tecumseh quote kept running through my head: a single twig may break, but the bundle is strong. And that’s exactly what I saw yesterday — a bundle of creatives lifting each other up, learning, growing, and pushing forward together. To everyone who showed up and showed out: thank you. You are the reason we keep doing this. Let’s keep building something unbreakable. I got to take a few images of the models Megastar Bo and Trishh B killed it and I can't wait to see what the rest of the group made....
