BANE "Calling Hours"

July 2 the BANE family came together to pay tribute to Brendan "Stu" Maguire at the House of Blue's in Boston. It was a fitting tribute to a fallen family member that was a part of not just the Bane family but the HOB and Boston music scene. I've tried to write this about a dozen times and it's a continuous mix between reporting it and trying to show the feelings...I don't know that the words can convey the feelings. This past year was full of loss and gains and it seems everytime i wrap my head around it something else tragic happens....

I hate the cliché of i'll let the photos do the talking but in this case... I'm going to have to let it go at that... It was both the most joyous show i've been to in a long while and the saddest - seeing my friends push themselves after 5 years off and seeing them not miss a beat was a wondrous event - wrapped in utter sadness....
