Bane announced this year that they were getting ready to call it quits. Their latest record "Don't Wait Up" is their swan song and for a hardcore band to go out on their own terms with a record like this is amazing. (many break up after an an amazing debut or sometimes even a second record while others hang on far too long putting out records that are a pale impersonation of what made fans love the band in the first place) While they haven't announced any final shows as of yet they still play each show like it is their last. That will be the legacy Bane leaves behind in my eyes. Every show I've seen them play (this is my 10th) they play like their lives depend on it. No staring at the strings bass players. No back to the crowd guitar players. No singer more worried about image than passion. The band brings it every time and in my 26 years of shows they have earned a spot amongst my favorite live acts ever.
