Bane - Brooklyn 2024 Hyperlapse

October 15, 2024  •  Leave a Comment

Bane. 3419 Shots. The Monarch Brooklyn. There are only a few bands left that can get me out of my metaphorical rocking chair. Bane is one. Big room, small room, does not matter. Aaron, Aaron, Zach, Bobby, and James (or Stu, or Pete, or Chris) have always brought it at one speed. FULL. These hyper time lapses I shoot started with them. When a band is not so good live or the crowd does not respond the way I hope I shoot less. When the band never stops and inspires the pit to sing and point and dive and move then I shoot... a lot. Bane made it so I'd come home with too many shots. Rather than throw them away I started stitching them together and putting music over them. They feel more... frenetic. More immediate than regular video has to me. Not a rip on people that shoot great video at shows but sometimes I feel disconnected when i see a video and the sound is never great. So i said screw it. I'll still shoot stills, I'll add the bands music. And put them out...

As i near the end of my showgoing life I want to thank the bands that have kept me going. I'm not quiet about telling the people that i appreciate that I do. So they know. This one is about Bane.

Love you boys.

Not quite my final backward glance but I'm getting there....
