From the opening of the fanfare to the chords of Walter's guitar right through to final lyrics ""don't spoil memories of the way.... things were" New Direction by Gorilla Biscuits has always from the first time I heard it as a 17 year old in 1989 been in my top 5 hardcore songs. It was a song that Zoe took too as a baby dancing around the living room of the apartment we lived in and it's a song that even though i have well documented musical A.D.D will never hit the fast forward button on. I don't have words for what this meant to me then or now.

New Direction

I shot these stills from the pit with my Nikon D5 turned up to 12,800 iso and my 24-70 VR - I had some physical difficulties do to a stage diving incident (not me diving) earlier during the Cro-Mags so I wasn't as mobile as usual and decided to keep a free hand in case i lost balance rather than use the flash. The lights were a challenge but it came out ok....
