American Nightmare Hyperlapse Feb 15 2025

That is how many shots i took during American Nightmare's set.

Too many?

Not enough? When a band is in constant motion... when a crowd in in constant motion... it can feel like you are  missing something. I know it does to me. Time is speeding up for me every day - relatively. Every day is closer to the end so each minute has more meaning and i want to cherish it more - i know when i have a band i love in front of me that i want it to last forever. I want that noise and beauty and chaos to last forever. I want each second to last an eternity. I am disappointed constantly in my lack of ability to dictate where everyone is in every shot - I'm always looking for that shot where the finger is pointed but not covering the face of the singer. Where the singer is in mid scream but with the eyes open. Where the diver is coming straight at me with good amplitude but not so much so that I am swinging my lens or flash and missing something else....

I know i missed more great moments than i captured. Thank you American Nightmare for making it so i can say that without it being a lie...

Few tech things for the photo people -
Sony A9III and 16-35 GMII - Westcott FJ80II for the light in every shot...
