There are a litany of objections i have to getting older. Getting closer to dying. Aching. Hurting. etc. But If i had to put a cherry on top one of the things that I dislike the most is the lack of new things to experience. I'm not old with the big O but I'm in my 50's now and I've had a pretty awesome life in the grand totality. I've done a ton of things I never thought I'd do and I've been surrounded by some amazing people.... What does this have to do with Monmouth University Basketball? 

Even though sports action is fun - i love nothing more than light. Capturing players dunking and such has been on my list. I've never done it. I've never seen anyone do it. I've seen lots of end results but i've never had the chance. I've planned. We know how that goes. Well the crew at MU let me in to help out on their Mens and Womens Basketball Media day and I was determined to get some action shots in. I only shot a few. None of them were set up the way I had set them up in my dream. Just like Life gets in the way of living. Shooting often gets in the way of really being creative. But I still like them.. i love a couple of them and as i preach when i teach - I'm failing forward. I am itching for a second shot where I don't have to shoot 40 players portraits and have the action be the afterthought. The team was great. Big thanks to Mark and Ryan for giving me some run to make some things happen. Big shout out to the teams... Hope to see you during the season. 

These are all shot with Westcott Lighting FJ400 - Most are one light with the Octa L Rapidbox but a couple are with the Deep Focus Reflector. I don't have any BTS unfortunately...
