While visiting the Sun N Fun 2018 Fly-In in I got to cross off a bucket list item that I didn't even know was on my bucket list until I did it. Fly on a B-17 Flying Fortress. Check. One of the most thrilling experiences of my life to fly in the belly of a plane built in 1945 was heart pumping. Being a photographer I was trying to capture as much of it as i could but simply couldn't get images that caught the true feeling of what it was like.
The next day I of course decided to go by the plane and try to create something cool that would memorialize my excitement. I couldn't but I did create some fun timelapses of two of the ten remaining flight worthy B-17's in the world. The first you see below was of the "Movie Memphis Belle" and the second two are of my all time favorite plane - the Texas Raiders B-17G (both are awesome - just the Texas Raiders was the first and you always love your first)
Big thanks to Jose Ramos and Doug DeFelice for hanging out and helping me with the hardest part of doing timelapse - the boredom while it's shooting. You guys rule.
All timelapses were created with Nikon D850
