Sometimes you get lucky. Smurfasaur left a message on my model mayhem page. I reached out saying that if she were ever in NYC to let me know. A couple days pass and I get a text.

her: i'm in town    me: want to shoot?    her: yea    me: awesome - i've got this great abandoned building....

Now mind you that this conversation happened before i realized she was a juggler, aerialist, sideshow performer, etc etc etc - the woman has many talents not the least of which is being brave and fearless....

The images you see here were taken with a Nikon D810 and Nikkor 70-200 2.8 II and lit with 2 Nikon SB's. One SB-910 to camera right aimed down at roughly 45° on top of a stand and a SB-700 to camera left roughly 90° to the Smurfasaur. No room for a modifier, no room at all honestly. She is fluid and the lights are static. It was difficult and a blast at the same time. Lights were triggered with the pop up on the D810 in ITTL.
