Detroit. Detroit resonates with me for some reason. From the fairly obvious to something much less so. I'd never been to Detroit and until I took my job I probably would never have had a real reason to go. This past week I was there twice. The model images with Sahrye are from a more tame excursion but this week I was lucky to meet up with someone that had some experience in the Detroit Urbanex community and he took me around to a couple of locations. I was disappointed to get such a late start because truth be told I could shoot there forever. Give me Detroit and some beautiful people in interesting clothes and I'd be inspired to shoot endlessly. The city like me has seen better days. The city like me seems like it is on the verge of something else. I hope it can have that rebirth without losing it's past. It's like a modern Rome showing glimpses into America's not too removed past. Amazing to me.
